State lrmdraft
Class errata-simple
Arrival-DateNov 18 2002
Originator "Brad Pierce" <Brad.Pierce@synopsys.com>
Release 2001b: 8.6 (Syntax 8-2)
Environment

According to A.5.4, a udp_instantiation may optionally have
an attribute_instance before the udp_instance. According to
Syntax 8-2, it may not.

Fix
In Syntax 8-2, remove "[attribute_instance]"
from udp_instantiation, making it the same
as in Annex A.5.4.

udp_instantiation ::= udp_identifier
[ drive_strength ] [ delay2 ]
udp_instance { , udp_instance } ';'

Reversed.

Anyway, it looks like the [ attribute_instance ] should NOT be there.

If we compare the udp_instantiation to module_instantiation and
gate_instantiation,
as in Syntax 2-6, we see that the attribute_instance comes before the
udp/module/gate_instantiation,
not before the udp/module/gate_instance.

So A.5.4, WITHOUT the attribute_instance, is correct,
and it should be deleted from Syntax 8-2.
