Synopsis 27.18 vpiMultiArray defined but not in diagrams
State ptfpassed
Class errata-ptf
Arrival-DateJul 17 2003

Release 2001b
Environment
Description
This section discusses how vpi_handle_by_multi_index() can
be used on any object that has the vpiMultiArray property.
Unfortunately, NO objects have this property!

I took a look at the PTF history for 1364-2001. This was
caused by a last minute change that was not fully implemented.
This section and the include file were not changed to match
the rest of the LRM.
Fix
Change the reference to "vpiMultiArray" in section 27.18 to
"vpiArray". Remove vpiMultiArray from Annex G.

Subject: Re: errata/397: PROPOSAL - 27.18 vpiMultiArray defined but not in
diagrams
Date: Tue, 16 Dec 2003 15:31:43 +0200

As I understand it, the routine described in 27.18, vpi_handle_by_multi_index, is
intended to access both nets and regs, but vpiArray is true only for variables.

Besides that, the proposal is inconsistent with the correspondence on issues 333
and 398.
I suggest that all three issues be dealt with together.

Shalom
